Thrills, Spills, Spins and Donuts at Goodwood Festival Of Speed!
As usual the weekend was an explosion for all senses…sounds, sights and of beautiful machines, the smell of burning rubber from spins and donuts and the taste of typically unhealthy snacks! What a great event – some pics below! Weather was hot and sunny and I was lucky enough to see Lewis Hamilton and Desire Wilson (one of the only women to race an F1 car) being interviewd!
It looks like this time out and change of intensity worked well judging by his and McLaren’s performance in qualifying for the German GP this afternoon.
Anyway, I digress….back to Goodwood! Chris Evan’s collection of Ferarri’s was truely a sight to see – so too were the 1960s/70s concept cars from Alfa Romeo and Vauxhall (….yes a Vauxhall..I was surprised too!!)
But the car that stole the show was the Cartier winner – the 1938 Hispano-Suiza!
Had a great time at the event. Can’t wait for next year!!
Which one’s your favourite?
Talk to y’all soon

Well its still early days but this great new app www.chattotext.com is proving to be a great exciting new app for Facebook, MySpace, Bebo and other social networking sites soon too – aim is to add one new site per week! Check out some recent press releases (launched end of Feb)
Chattotext allows you to get text messages from your friends on Facebook, Bebo, and soon MySpace (they’re working on a MySpace one now). You just put this little widget on your profile page and your friends can send you a text message, and you can reply from your cell phone.
You don’t need any fancy cell phone, any cell phone that can text will work. It’s kind of like Instant Messaging through text messaging through your Facebook/Bebo/MySpace page.
It’s only available in the US and Canada so far but with plans to bring it to the UK and Austraila soon.
Had a great day at Porsche Human Performance centre, Silverstone where Mark Webber spoke about his diet, training, approach to race weekends….oh and ofcourse ‘that’ injury!!
Thanks to all at Porsche Experience for a cool day. I met lots of cool racers and learnt some new stuff too…which is always good : ) so I can go out there and kick some more ass!!!! : )
I was having a chat with someone a few days ago about the differences of racing a rear-wheeled car to a front-wheeled car. Surely its just a case of understanding the weight distribution and loading forces of a car under breaking, during and after a corner which is important.
If you know and understand where the power is distributed and when then isn’t it a case of adjusting your style and understanding to suit? As a racer I find understeer incredibly frustrating – I just want to get on with exiting the corner. Now for me it would be good to change the set up and/or understand the car better and adapt my style to suit. Thats what’s so cool about racing – you have to work through problems, learn and adapt…..cool..bring it on!!!!
Well have spent some time over the Summer adding to the book. I kinda left events to unfold as I spent much of the summer with an ice pack on my foot. A couple of months later after having to wait to see a consultant, x-rays and MRI showed a fracture to one of my Sesamoid bones. So I couldn’t do much but wait! I decided to add to the book as there were areas I had left out which I wanted to amend. The trouble is the Forex Market is moving so quickly its difficult to add everything….especially recently! But what I have done is to write about the areas everyone should know to give you an understanding of how all the areas fit together including a really great, effective and yet simple strategy.
It has given me something constructive to do aswell as trading, working on the web site and setting up my trading club on Ecademy which I’m really enjoying : ) So the foot is still being a pain in the ass but have a boot brace to limit the use so it gets better – at least there is some improvement.
Its funny how things work out : ) I really want to be training again – I miss my training buddies at British Military Fitness! I also miss racing massively…have been working on that one too! I always like to think of how I can turn a setback into an advantage…believe me I have done it many times!! Its a challenge and you have to think out of the box and creatively but there’s nothing worse than feelin sorry for yourself. I guess I have a ‘can do’ approach!!
So managed to get lots done over the Summer and am lovin gettin to know you guys out there. Hopefully you can all hear about my racing progress too next year….!!
A few years ago I was working out how I could earn enough money to quit my day career and commuter hell to follow my passion for car racing and be financially independent. Having found buying and selling UK stocks not profitable enough for short term returns I enrolled on an expensive financial trading seminar. After the course I traded many of the markets but found I was increasingly disillusioned by trading the UK stock market and binary trading. Following on from conversations with other traders there it was – the Foreign Exchange platform or FOREX
This had to be where professional traders made their money and I wanted to know more!
The trouble was there was so much information on the internet about FOREX trading – where would I start? Since coming across this problem I decided I wanted to write a book (download the first chapter for free here) to explain the essentials of FOREX trading in layman’s terms. For this reason, I wrote Trade Forex From Home keeping it really simple, easy to follow and to understand with some basic trading techniques which if followed has the opportunity to get your Forex trading account up and running in no time. I wanted to share my journey and communicate how anyone can trade the FOREX market.
It’s taken nearly three years with juggling my day career, sponsorship hunting for racing and sometimes working part time to fit trading into my daily routine, in addition to researching and writing the book, to reach this stage. That’s years of research, reading, learning, practicing trading set-ups and seeing what works.
Please take a look at my new web site and book available here – www.tradeforexfromhome.com if you would like to know more about trading the FOREX market.
I hope you enjoy the read…….
With best wishes for a successful FOREX trading career.
What a great race – a fantastic end to the season! Well done to Lewis Hamilton and McLaren. As always racing is such an intriguing combination of team and driver – one can’t succeed without the other. Winning is always the sum of all parts especially in Formula One.
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE INVOLVED!
I can’t wait for 2009 season to start! I should be on track too in 2009…..still working on things here as always..
Did anyone see the Bathurst race last weekend? Awesome!! Would love to race it myself : ) Great weekend for motorsport….jst about went to bed on Saturday eve as F1 GP on early! Had planned an allnighter which almost happened : ) Caught Motors TV on widescreen surround sound…!!
As always things in the pipeline although most of it outside my control. Just need to make sure I’m prepared for situations as they arise….more news soon hopefully.
Well I think this is true. When I first started trading (with a demo account) I was reluctant to pull out of a trade when it was going against me. It guess it went something like…..’maybe its a pull back and not an actual change in direction’ but you only know for definite when you have already lost money. Its so easy to say when your sitting comfortably in your office chair when you Work From Home ahh that will never happen with my trading – and if it does then you need to learn from the experience and build a better exit strategy into your trading plan. On paper it is relatively easy to Earn Money trading the Forex Online but there is a psychology to trading well and building a Buisness From Home as your future earning capacity and fulfilling your dreams of Financial Freedom.
It is very hard to cut your loses but you need to for your money management strategy aswell as your trading plan. Forex Trading is something you need to learn how to do and this learning doesn’t happen over night. It takes time to understand market movement, back test strategies, find out which indicators and moving averages suit you best and do you use Pivot Points aswell as Fibonacci?
If you are prepared to really Learn Forex trading it is such a great opportunity. Millions are already trading but I don’t know how many adopt good trading attitudes, see trading as developing their Own Business and treat it with the same respect as if they were starting out with a business loan in hand. Having said that it offers such freedom that I would recommend it to others and great for Work At Home Moms, those who do shift work, those who love Home Working and part time workers too!
So trading Forex Market isn’t just for the City boys then!
